" Inside of my soul is a powerful energy of creativity that forces itself to be expressed.  I can't control it.  I can only expose it and mold it into something that is desirable to behold."

Since I first discovered my creativity, in my early twenties, it has been a place of self-discovery, healing and spiritual growth.  I have worked with many different artistic techniques and I can never seem to stick with one for long.  I always have a list of projects I am working on and a list of new ideas that I can’t wait to try out.  Collage has been my main artistic focus for the past 4 years.  Now I am back to beading, which was the first creative outlet I fell in love with and from where all my experimenting with different artistic expressions began.  Now I use a beading technique that was taught to me by a friend.  Tiny beads are hand sewn onto a flat, sturdy piece of cloth and a peyote stitch is used to secure things such as rocks, beads or cabochons.  This beading technique is much like my collage work.   Both require adding different color, texture, size and shape of one type of object and arranging these pieces into a cohesive and intricate finished piece.  It’s like putting together an abstract puzzle except you don’t have the finished picture to look at.  I guess that is what makes it so fulfilling.  You just start with a pile of stuff and transform it into something beautiful and often times into something awe inspiring.
