I love the never ending possibilities of working with paper. The endless amount of textures, patterns and colors. I love to create intricacy, fine details and layers. Paper allows me to implement these characteristics into my art easily and abundantly.
When creating a piece I rarely have the end result in mind. If I am creating a piece which includes an image I choose colors of paper that coordinate with the image. The rest just evolves throughout the creative process.
Much of my work is inspired by my religious beliefs. You will also notice I like to incorporate my interest in the beauty of different cultures. I use a lot of geometric shapes, lines, dots and swirly designs. My favorite colors are earth tones, but I love to work with all different colors as long as they are vibrant and intense.
I see my creativity and my art as a journey. As I go through life and develop as a human being my art evolves and changes because it is an expression of my life and my soul. As I continue on the road of self discovery and self expression I am sure you will see it in my art. I am always learning and experimenting with different and new forms and techniques of art. I am anxious to find new ways of displaying my soul through paper, paint and any other medium that happens to fulfill my desire to create and grow.
